The DIY Ethic Ended with My Husband

My husband grew up with a strong ethic of doing everything yourself. It didn’t matter if we needed to mow the lawn or repair the washing machine. If something needed to be done, he took care of it by himself. It wasn’t even really a point of pride as much as it was his belief that it was his duty.
