My Therapist Says It’s About Time to Decrease Our Sessions

For anyone who thinks that the goal of therapy is that you’ll be going back, week after week, forever, that’s not the case. (Or at least, it shouldn’t be, if you have a good therapist.)

Still, I admit that I was quite surprised when my therapist mentioned that it might be time to decrease our sessions or even discontinue them entirely. It’s not the first time that she’s mentioned it, but she seems to be saying it with greater frequency lately.
