Dreaming of What Could Be

Lately, I’ve been wishing that I’ll dream about my late husband. Every night before I go to sleep, I listen to the voicemail he sent me, in which he tells me, “Nighty-night, little bird.”

I hear that a lot of widows have dreams of their spouses who have passed and I’m rather disturbed that so far, I haven’t had many of these experiences. I pray every night — though I’m not very religious — that I’ll have a dream about…
